When we were asked by the Andrew Logan Museum recently to provide biodegradable glitter for their annual fashion show, we jumped at the chance! Andrew Logan is an eccentric British artist, sculptor, and a prolific lover of all things glittery, whose sculpture and jewellery often includes glittery resin holding together shards of mirror or other found objects.
We went along to photograph the models getting glittered before the show, and were excited to see the sparkling creations our bioglitter would be going alongside. We weren't disappointed - just look at the colourful costumes and amazing pieces of oversized jewellery that were on show.
It's worth noting that Andrew doesn't use biodegradable glitter in his artworks, though it did occur to us here at Wild Glitter that he might be a suitable recipient for a plastic glitter amnesty, as all his glitter is trapped in Resin, and with his artworks fetching thousands of pounds it's pretty much guaranteed not to end up in landfill...
Wild Glitter sells biodegradable glitter, or bioglitter, an environmentally friendly alternative to microplastic glitter. For more information see our shop.
